Every two years, three member teams compete in Lyon for the gold in the most important pastry team championship
Next January 27th and 28th, during the SIRHA International Trade Fair (previously known as ‘Les Métier de Bouche’) in Lyon, the 13th edition of the World Pastry Championship will take place. Ever since it was first inaugurated in 1989, promoted by its current president Gabriel Paillasson, this event has done nothing but gain prestige and a spectacular nature.
Andy Chlebana, Christophe Feyt, Stephen Durfee and Roy Pell will make up the team representing the USA in the next edition of the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie (Lyon 2013). They all qualified in a test held in The Grand Rapids Community College, and were chosen out of a group of eight finalists.
Singapore has one of the most relevant events devoted to the food industry at an international level – the Food Hotel Asia trade fair (FHA 2012) which, from 17th to 20th April, will show a great offer from the food, restaurant and pastry industries. The figures speak for themselves.

Everything is ready. The biggest patisserie show in the world is approaching. There will be 19 countries competing in the 2011 edition, 19 teams that will fight to reach the highest spot on the podium and achieve glory. Lyon will once again be the world capital of patisserie for two days. The Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie reaches its twelfth edition since it was created by Gabriel Paillasson in 1989, and it does so with more strength than ever seen before.
