Six pastry chefs confirmed for the American semi final of Valrhona’s C3

The American semi-final will be held in Brooklyn (New York) on October 28 as part of the 2019 StarChefs International Chefs Congress, the American semi-final of the next edition of the Valrhona C3 Dessert Competition.

An international jury will evaluate the candidates, who will have a total of five hours to make a plated dessert and petits fours on the theme pure Dominican Republic Bahibe 46%.

The creativity of the recipe, originality, as well as taste, texture, and respect for the theme are aspects that will help determine who will be the winner that will go to the grand international final, which will take place on March 5, 2020 in Singapore.

These are the chosen candidates:

  • Desarae Bittle, from The Greenbrier
  • Eunji Lee, from Jungsik
  • Jim W. Hutchison, from Winvian Farm
  • Kévin Clémenceau, from PitchounBakery
  • Takunori Hirayama, from Duo Patisserie
  • Weilu Wang, from Prince Philosopher
