On March 20 the Maison Pierre Hermé Paris and the Relais Desserts association, whose members are part of the elite in French patisserie, again express their creativity for a good cause: to fight against cystic fibrosis.

Last year there were 59 pastry chefs from Relais Desserts, a total of 150 shops, and the sum of € 50,000 was raised. This year, 160 shops will collaborate and the objective is more ambitious, to reach €100,000.

The mechanics are simple; the customer gives a donation to the association Vaincre la Mucoviscidose and in return, chooses a macaron they would like to taste. The choice will not be easy. For example, the maison Wittamer has created for the occasion Peony, filled with a creamy Tahitian vanilla and a heart of raspberry inside a shell of raspberry. Christophe Roussel combines floral and fruity flavors in his strawberry-jasmine macaron. And Frédéric Cassel, more sophisticatedly, proposes a champagne-flavored macaroon.

Look the list of participating shops. These boutiques will also offer a 10% discount on the purchase of macaroons from 20 to 22 March.
