Nina Métayer has just been proclaimed Best Pastry Chef in the World 2024 by 50 Best Restaurants. Trained at the Ferrandi school, she has worked in the kitchens of great chefs such as Yannick Alléno and Jean-François Piège, and currently combines consulting and training with her own business, Délicatisserie.

Although French pastry is closely linked to tradition, Métayer, who participated in so good.. magazine 26, adopts modern techniques to evolve classic sweets. A good example of her visionary work is her award-winning interpretation of the iconic 2020 galette des rois, in which she used a 3D-printed silicone mold, designed by herself, to top the galette with a perfect recreation of the iconic circular window of Notre Dame.

For Métayer it is an honor, “a few months after winning the title of World Pastry Chef 2023 by the UIBC, to now be recognized internationally by the demanding jury of the 50 Best Academy, which gathers more than a thousand professionals, gourmets, and experts of the restaurant industry. Furthermore, she wants to thank her team for “your unwavering commitment to me, the quality of your work, your savoir-faire, your demands and the love we share for our pastry profession.”
