More than 1,000 exhibiting brands from 34 countries will participate in the next edition of Sigep, which will take place from January 21 to 25 in Rimini. For yet another year, the show aspires to become a catalyst for ingredients, products, and machinery and systems innovations in pastry, bakery, ice cream, and coffee.

The Vision Plaza space will be transformed into a laboratory in which to anticipate tomorrow’s scenario. Among the speakers, we find Carlo Cracco, representative of APEI, Ambassadors of Italian Pastry Chefs of Excellence, who will talk about international trends in haute pastry in catering and hospitality; Davide Comaschi, winner of the World Chocolate Masters 2013, who will explain how a professional career is built from talent, experience, vision, and determination, or the CAST Alimenti school, which will invite you to reflect on a new model of high management training for food professionals to create good practices and successful businesses.

In its 44th edition, Sigep will once again host outstanding international competitions from all the sectors represented. At the pastry level, the fair will host the Juniors World Pastry Championship competitions, in which young talents under 25 years of age can participate, and Pastry Queen, aimed at women from all over the world, as well as the Italian Senior and Junior Pastry Championships, with the great classics of animation as the theme, and Sigep Giovani, an initiative aimed at schools throughout Italy. In terms of bread making, it will host Bread in the City, an international competition in which the Spanish team (Los Espigas) will face eight countries. And at the ice cream level, it will be the framework of the Gelato European Cup, a qualifying round where the European teams that will compete in the 10th Ice Cream World Cup will be selected and that will have Spanish representation, led by Adolfo Romero and Pepe Isla.

This 2023 will also be the year in which Sigep shows its great internationality. From May 10 to 12, the first edition of Sigep China will be held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center, simultaneously alongside Anufood China.
