After four years of hiatus, the 7th edition of the “Mondial des Arts Sucrés“, the pastry competition that promotes diversity with a male/female team combinations, was held from October 28 to 31 at the Salon du Chocolat Paris.

The French team, which is always one of the favorites to get on the podium, was proclaimed the winner of this edition, like they did in 2018. Florence Lesage (former Westin Paris Pastry Chef who decided to dedicate herself 100% to the competition) and Alexis Beaufils (Brach Paris Pastry Chef), convinced the jury, which was made up of great chefs such as Pierre Marcolini, Philippe Segond, Angelo Musa, and Nicolas Boussin. Second place went to Japan (Megumi Maeno and Taku Tanifuji), and third place to Malaysia (Foo Yi Qing and Edison Lee).

For four days, Brazil, France, Malaysia, Mexico, Taiwan, Ukraine, Colombia, Japan, Canada, Georgia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Morocco, and India presented creations on the theme “The origin of the senses” and more specifically on the protection of biodiversity.
