On November 18, the world final of the International Chocolate Awards 2019 was held at the Palacio de los Capitanes in Antigua Guatemala. For the first time, the event was held in a cocoa producing country in order to recognize the work of the producers, without which it would not be possible to obtain a great and fine chocolate.

On this occasion, the ‘Best in competition’ overall winners have gone to Fu Wan Chocolate (Taiwan) in the category “Plain / origin dark bar categories” for Taiwan # 1 62% Ping Tung and Friis-Holm Chokolade (Denmark) in the “Plain / origin milk bar categories” category for O’Payo Milk 50%.

The countries that have received the most distinctions are, in this order, Italy, Taiwan, the United States, Canada, Japan, Denmark, and France. The awards have been divided into plain, flavored bars, ganaches, nuts and caramels, among other categories.
