From October 18 to 22 Fiera Milano will organize the 41st edition of Host with 1,251 exhibitors confirmed to date, of which 44.7% come from 45 different countries. An edition in which the design has been improved and developed in three macro-areas to encourage influence between sectors and present the most interesting trends in terms of design and format. One of these macro-areas is the Bar,Coffee Machines, Vending – Coffee,Tea – Gelato – Pastry that represents 34% of exhibiting companies. The mantra of this sector, according to the fair, is increasingly “Fusion”. If the influence between ice cream, which continues to grow as an exhibition space, and the world of coffee is already an acquired fact, ice cream is not only found in bars and pastry shops, but is already part of the offer of hotels and restaurants . These trends require a new, more integrated way of approaching the product and this is facilitated at this trade fair event.

Host is also news because the selection of the finalists that will participate in the 2019 edition of the FIPGC Cake Designers World Championship and the FIPGC World Cup For Pastry, Ice-Cream and Chocolate, organized by the International Federation of Pastry, Ice Cream and Chocolate, is underway. The biennial competitions will be held for the third time in the Fair. For both competitions, the theme will be “Art and Tradition of Your Nation: a celebration of flavors and colors”, in which each country will bring different aromas and ingredients to reinterpret its local pastry tradition in a contemporary way.
