From 19 to 21 September, AUI Fine Foods, formerly known as Albert Uster Imports, will hold the first edition of the US Pastry Cup, a new annual competition storming the American scene with the intention of becoming a reference for the country’s most demanding professionals.

Antonio BachourWith Antonio Bachour as Head Judge, a total of 12 finalists will be selected and compete in different events over three days to choose the first winner. The first day will call for a pre-dessert, and the second day will have the remaining six chefs prepare their original plated dessert from the recipe submission phase. On the third day, the remaining three competitors will present entremets and bon bons.

The winners will also receive prize money of over $10,000. The organization has already put the registration deadline and competition rules for those interested on its website. Those interested must demonstrate that they are pastry chefs working in the United States to compete. The selection process will also take into account a photo and recipe of a plated dessert of each candidate, which need to be sent with the form and should contain an Inti Cacao collection couverture
