The US Pastry Competition 2017 goes to John Cook

Take a walk with us through the final buffets of the last edition of the US Pastry Competition –now the 28th! – and check out the quality of each of the creations, inspired by this year’s theme, “The Modern Masters come to chocolate”. Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, and Joan Miró are the starting points for each of the 14 finalists. This historic competition has changed its rules to give more prominence to chocolate, center the creations in small entremets (petit gateaux), and obtain greater participation. We hope the next competition, in March 2018, keeps the tone of the present one. Incidentally, the subject of the next edition will be car races, or, more broadly: “The Great Race”.
