He was the favorite and did not disappoint. Justin Fry, who currently works for the firm Norman Love Confections, clearly won the 27th edition of the US Pastry Competition, a historic contest in the United States which has awarded great pastry figures in the past. In this edition, the championship was dedicated to the world of magic and illusion. Second place went to Nicolas Chevrieux, of the Maison Kayser in New York City, while the youngest of the Settepani saga, Joseph, took third place. The contest had a total of eight participants and a prestigious jury made up of figures the likes of Ewald Notter, En-Ming Hsu or Michael Laiskonis, among others. The chef Justin Fry was proclaimed Chocolatier of the Year at the 2014 Pastry Live event.
