Registrations have already been opened for the Relais Desserts Charles Proust competition, eight months after the celebration of its eighth edition.
The competition, which will be chaired by Nicolas Boussin(so good #22), will take place on June 14, 2020 as part of the Relais Desserts Prix d’Excellence at the Pavillon Gabriel in Paris. Pastry chefs, chocolatiers, and ice cream makers of any nationality can submit their application before March 31, 2020. Of all those enrolled, only 12 will be selected to compete in the final and try to take the title.
As the rules state, applicants must produce an artistic piece for the presentation of entremets, based on the theme “Naturalality”. All the pieces will have to have a low impact on the environment both in the use of ingredients and in the processes.
The contestants with the highest score will qualify for three awards: first place, valued at 2,500 euros and prizes, second place, valued at 850 euros plus prizes, and third place, with 600 euros and prizes.
