The grand final of the World Chocolate Masters, to be held from 28 to 30 October at the Salon du Chocolat in Paris, will put 20 finalists from around the world who have won their national qualifiers face to face. Under the theme “Inspiration from nature”, participants will have to prepare a series of creations that prove they are worthy of the title. According to the Organization, the events in the competition have continuously changed in order to adapt to the latest trends emerging in the sector.
Accordingly, the first two days of the competition will serve to present the chocolate showpiece, the “Sweet on-the-go snack”, and My Or Noir, a creation made from a recipe with an exclusive chocolate designed by the very participant. After these tests, the judges will select the ten best contestants who will fight for overall victory on the third and final day of competition. That is when they will have to prepare the cake of the day and a final test called “when nature goes”, an event in which they will have to fully develop their creativity and imagination. In this event, the participants have to make an artistic chocolate creation that reflects the power of nature based on a cage with broken bars.
The Organization has also announced that the creations of the winner will have a privileged place in the shop windows of Harrods in London, thus allowing the general public a taste of the products created by the winner.
