On October 25, the awards ceremony of the Best Panettone of the World championship took place in Rome, organized by the International Federation of Pastry, Ice Cream and Chocolate (FIPGC) and open to pastry chefs, ice cream makers, chocolatiers, and cake designers from all over the world.

The second edition of this competition was characterized by a double tie in two categories (classic and innovative) and by the absolute victory of Italy in all sections.

The jury, made up of Roberto Lestani, Matteo Cutolo, Claudia Mosca, Enrico Casarano, and Maurizio Santilli, chose the winners. Francesco Luni and Rugiero Carli were the winners in the classic panettone category, Pasquale Pesce and Luca Borgioli in innovative panettone, and Maria Principessa in decorated panettone.
