A new study is added to the long list of reports demonstrating the many benefits of chocolate to our health. The Maine-Syracuse Longitudinal Study, created by the University of Maine, suggests that frequent consumption of chocolate makes our brains work better.

Specifically, it assures that regular intake of flavonoids and the methylxanthines found in cocoa can have a positive effect on cognitive functions. In scientific terms, it is associated with better results in visual-spatial memory, reasoning, or reaction capacity, which translates into functions like remembering a phone number or doing two things at the same time.
