The 26th edition of the prestigious U.S. Pastry Competition will be celebrated on the 8th March, which this year will have the theme of “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend: Ladies Luxuries”.

Those who wish to compete for the title of Best U.S. Pastry Chef have until the 16th January to register for the event, which will take place at the International Restaurant and Foodservice Show in New York.

Each participant will have to present an original recipe using Cacao Noel Chocolate and Ravifruit fruit purée, a chocolate bonbon recipe and a recipe for a plated dessert. They will also submit a chocolate showpiece which relates to the theme of the competition.

The winner will be selected by members of the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique, one of the oldest chef associations in the world. The contestants will be judged on the use of chocolate/sugar, visual appeal, artistic presentation, technique and originality, and successful theme execution. Contest awards will total over $10,000.
