As part of Europain, twelve countries faced off in the ninth edition of the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie (World Bakery Cup), showing their talent in three categories: Artistic Creation, Baguette & Breads of the World, Viennoiserie & Savoury Baking.
The South Korean team went to the top of the podium, a team formed by Chang-Ming Lee, Jong-Ho Kim, and Yong-Joo Park. Three professionals who, after only two months of training, have managed to outperform other candidates who spent more than two years preparing for the competition.
Their organizational and technical skills were revealed in the spectacular art piece dedicated to archery and in other categories as well, reaching the podium for the first time in the history of this competition.
The well-deserved silver medal went to Taiwan (Chung-Yu Hsieh, Yu-Chih Chen, and Peng-Chieh Wang), which came in third in 2012. And the bronze went to France (Cyrille Martin, Deborah Ott and Claude Casado), World Bakery Champion in 2008.
The other nine countries that participated in the final were Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, Mauritius, Netherlands, Russia, Turkey, and the United States.
