Registrations have been opened to participate in the 45th Championnat de France du Dessert, organized by the Center d’Etudes et de Documentation du Sucre (CEDUS) to highlight plated desserts in restauration.

November 29 is the deadline to register in the professional category, aimed at French pastry chefs and chefs of legal age who work in France or abroad. And December 6 is the deadline for the junior category candidates, aimed at students and apprentices from secondary schools and CFA who are not over the age of 25.

The regional finals will be held during the months of January and February 2019. The winner of each category will be the candidate who has the maximum number of points, and will represent their institution and region during the national final, which will take place on April 2 and 3 2019 at the Lycée des métiers gastronomie hôtellerie tourisme Georges Frêche in Montpellier. In the final test, candidates will have to prepare two plated desserts for ten people in 4 hours and 50 minutes.
