The third edition of the international contest ‘The Best Dessert of Restaurant’ is underway. Its organizers, EspaiSucre school and Nespresso, have made the rules public and are now in the midst of the process of candidates’ registration, which will be extended until next July 31st. Once again, a total of eight participants will be chosen out of all the received registration forms.

The final will be held at EspaiSucre (Barcelona) next October 17th, and the finalists will have five hours to make two desserts – a free-topic one and another one containing coffee as main ingredient. All these creations will be tasted by an exceptionally prestigious jury made up of Paco Torreblanca, Dani García, Oriol Balaguer, Ramon Morató, Jordi Roca, Martín Berasategui, Jordi Butrón, Cristina Jolonch, Philippe Regol, Rosa Rivas, Paco Marfull and Pau Arenós; a jury that reflects how ambitious the initiative is.

Two awards will be given: best restaurant pastry chef 2011 and best Nespresso dessert. You can check the rules at www.espaisucre.com
