CasaLuker presents Luker 1906 Dark Chocolate Single Origin – Arauca 70%

CasaLuker is a family-owned enterprise, founded 100 years ago, in 1906. Today, it specialises in the manufacture and commercialisation of products made from Cacao Fino de Aroma**.

Thanks to the Granja Luker and the Agricultural Department of CasaLuker, growers from a number of the country’s regions have improved their cocoa production and are today growing a Fino de Aroma cocoa which is becoming recognized throughout the world. As an example of this, a small region in the east of the country is today the origin of a magical cacao which preserves the purity of the Criollo beans. This region, near the Venezuelan border, has special landscapes between snow-capped mountains and beautiful savannahs located in a wild corner of Colombia. The main characteristics of these beans are their light colour and the cocoa butter content, which is high compared to other cocoa beans around the world. This magnificent cocoa has fascinated the palates of the CasaLuker experts and its clients. The company launched Arauca 70%, Single Origin chocolate couverture during the ISM fair in Cologne in January 2013.

Luker 1906 Dark Arauca 70%, is an excellent chocolate which will make a difference in the chocolate market. Arauca 70% brings together a variety of flavours that represent the essence of the Fino de Aroma cocoas. A smooth chocolate with an extraordinary balance, predominant acidity and exotic flavour of red berries, honey, jasmine and spices; its citric acidity and the delicate cocoa tones are perfect for those looking for a delightful sensorial experience.

** The Fino de Aroma denomination is an International Cocoa Organization (ICCO) classification, which describes an exquisite aroma and flavour. Between 6 and 7 % of the cocoa produced in the world is Cacao Fino de Aroma, 70% of which is produced in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.
