On June 10, the winner of the new Junior UK Chocolate Masters was unveiled: Quentin Bechard from Shangri La Shard.
The four candidates (Dominic Hutchings, Reece Hunt, Quentin Bechard, Jack Lewis and Sebastian Williams), aged between 17 and 23 years old, had to prepare a moulded praline (x30), a plated dessert (x4) and a chocolate showpiece (minimum 50 cm), inspired by nature.
Quentin convinced the judges at the Cacao Barry Chocolate Academy in Banbury, and in addition to receiving the coveted title; he won a fabulous prize package which included a free course of his choice at the UK Academy Centre plus a selection of chocolate craft tools.
Second place went to Sebastian Williams from ME Hotel.
