US Pastry competition celebrated its 25th anniversary in the place where it has grown, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center of New York. So Good.. Magazine was there to cover how Japanese pastry chef Yoshikazu Kizu from the Rits Carlton of Orlando won the contest with a sugar work inspired in the assigned theme: the Film Animation. Kivanc Kaymac (FontaineBleau (Miami) was second and Pedro Gómez (Calihan Catering of Chicago) was third. The pastry chef of L’Auberge (Baton Rouge), Arlety Estevez, deserved an Honorable Mention. Congratulations to the organizers, Paris Gourmet, for this special birthday.
