Hug’s Filigree Tartlets: Ten years of success and the launch of the One-Bite Snack
The Filigree butter tartlet collection has celebrated its tenth anniversary, a significant success for the Swiss manufacturer Hug Food Service.
Although it began as a simple attempt to create the tartlet with the thinnest wall, it has expanded to include 35 different products, from sweet to savory, with classic and unusual shapes, and numerous flavors.
Filigree tartlets are made exclusively with high-quality Swiss ingredients. A delicate, flavorless coating on the inside ensures they retain their shape for a long time. Once filled, they remain crisp and retain their shape, for maximum planning reliability in day-to-day operations.
Currently, Hug exports its tartlets to more than 30 countries. They are served in 4- and 5-star hotels, filled in artistic ways in Michelin-starred restaurants, enjoyed aboard airlines and cruise ships, and elegantly presented at countless events and in numerous bakeries.
In response to changing eating habits, the range has continuously evolved. While the Butter Tartlets remain the flagship product, three vegan alternatives are now also available.
The One-Bite Snack Tartelette, their latest addition

In autumn 2025, Hug successfully launched the One-Bite Dessert Tartelette, its smallest tartlet to date. Now, we have the savory version of this innovation: the One-Bite Snack Tartelette.
Perfect for buffets, appetizers, and elegant cocktails, it is made with Swiss butter and offers excellent stability in terms of shape, baking, and freezing.
