Emily Roux is part of the third generation of a culinary lineage deeply rooted in the art of French-inspired English cuisine. This professional is the granddaughter of the legendary chef Albert Roux, who was awarded the title of Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2002 and became the first three-starred chef in the United Kingdom, and the daughter of Michel Roux, who carried on Albert’s legacy for decades at the helm of the restaurant La Gavroche in London.
With the goal of opening her own establishment, this chef and her partner, Diego Ferrari, launched the restaurant Caractère (London) in 2018. France, Italy, and, no less importantly, the United Kingdom, plus the rich produce of the region’s finest growers, defines its offerings, which last year earned its first Michelin star.
