Brecht Van Poucke’s passion for pastry comes directly from his father. A vocation he has sought to develop since the age of 12, which has always been about having fun and letting his imagination run wild.

After training and gaining experience in several pastry shops in Bruges, he joined the pastry team at De Kaermelet, a three-star restaurant that is currently closed. There he met Liesbet, the sommelier who would become his wife and partner in the adventure of opening Painture in 2006, one of the establishments that has gained the most public and media recognition in the country in recent years.
