Unox acquires Roboqbo to boost cooking process automation
Author:
Ana RodríguezUnox, a leading company in the design, production, and marketing of professional ovens for the restaurant, retail, pastry, and baking sectors, has acquired 100% of the share capital of Roboqbo Srl, one of Italy’s leading manufacturers of advanced systems for food and cosmetic processing.
This acquisition allows Unox to further expand its offering, integrating new robotic solutions and advanced automation technologies into its established range of intelligent multifunction ovens. These technologies are capable of managing preparation and cooking processes that cannot be performed in a conventional oven. This strategic step reinforces the Group’s objective of offering a complete ecosystem of technologies for the automated management of professional kitchens and bakeries.

Roboqbo’s headquarters and operations will remain in Bentivoglio (Bologna), where it will continue to develop and produce its solutions.
“By integrating Roboqbo’s systems with our Cheftop and Bakertop smart ovens, we aim to offer our customers a fully integrated platform capable of managing all phases of preparation and cooking. We expect the positive effects of this acquisition to be reflected in the Group’s revenues by 2026, which we forecast to be around €400 million,” says Nicola Michelon, CEO of Unox S.p.A.
