IBIE 2025 Welcomes Latin American Bakers and Pastry Chefs Thanks to Mexipan

Ana RodríguezThe International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE), the largest baking event in the Western Hemisphere, is expanding its collaboration with Mexipan, the leading bakery trade show in Latin America. Leading Latin American pastry chefs and bakers will share their knowledge in the Chef Talks conference program as part of IBIEducate, the educational hub of the fair.
Thus, the show, which will take place from September 13 to 17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, will feature presentations by Latin American chefs on industry trends, product development, sustainability, and more.
Confirmed speakers include Fernanda González and Josué García, who will give the talk “Neo-Gothic Concha with the Flavor of Guanajuato,” Iván Zavala, who will delve into the new trend of hyper-realistic cakes, Hugo Mota, who will discuss Mexican baking with seasonal ingredients, and Pietro Lembo and Brandon Chávez, who will discuss traceability and the responsible use of raw materials in artisan bakeries.
“We’re honored to collaborate with IBIE to bring Chef Talks to a global stage,” said Amador Méndez, president of the National Association of Suppliers of the Bread Industry (ANPROPAN) and Mexipan. “Our mission has always been to spark conversations that connect creativity with industry advancement. By sharing Latin American culinary perspectives, we hope to foster mutual learning and deeper engagement across borders.”
The sessions will be taught in Spanish, although, thanks to the Wordly app, they can be followed in 64 languages in real time.
