La Liste has just announced the winners of its 2026 pastry awards. A truly global selection, recognizing 36 chefs from Europe, Asia, North America, the Middle East, and Oceania.
The most notable addition is the inclusion of artisan bakeries. Now presented under the slogan “The World’s Best Bakeries and Pastry Shops,” the guide reflects a profound transformation already visible worldwide, where the traditional boundaries between bakeries, pastry shops, specialty coffee shops, and tea rooms continue to blur. This evolution is reflected in the awards, with 12 of the 36 winners recognized for their contribution to artisan breadmaking.
