On November 6 and 7, the Salon du Chocolat in Vannes, France, will host the sixth edition of the Le Mondial du Café Gourmand, where 16 candidates will compete before a prestigious jury of 20 renowned chefs, pastry chefs, chocolatiers, and master roasters.

The competition was conceived by Stéphane Henrio and Régis Marcot with the aim of elevating the concept of gourmet coffee to a level of excellence through subtle and bold pairings. Applications are open to professionals over 20 years of age with at least two years of experience in the food industry who register by August 31.

Under the theme of ‘comics’, the applicants will have to present ten dishes, including a finger food dessert with a vanilla/pistachio flavor, a dessert to be eaten with a spoon with a lemon/raspberry flavor, a hot dessert with chocolate and a lollipop with a roasted hazelnut/Colombian coffee/muscovado sugar flavor.
