Patrick Roger, broken hearted but looking towards the future (Video in french)

In a recent interview for a French journal, Patrick Roger confirmed that everything has returned to normal following the heavy fire that he suffered in his workshop barely 10 weeks ago, and he is once again producing chocolates. His heart was broken, not least because he lost more than 50 tonnes of product that was burned in the fire. Nor did he feel much better when 50 artistic pieces were also destroyed, which formed part of his chocolate sculpture work, among which was the piece that made him World Champion of Pastry in 1994. However, despite everything, he is focusing on the future, and production is now taking place again in a much smaller space than the original workshop (down from 2,000 to 400 metres squared), but which can supply the demand for this Christmas campaign to his 9 boutiques (6 in Paris, 1 in Sceaux, 1 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and 1 in Brussels).
