The NRA Hall is not only considered one of the most important hostelry events in North America, but it is a very valid indicator for knowing where many of the big equipment and product firms are placing their efforts. Its last edition, held from May 19 to 22 in Chicago, drew attention again due to its high figures (more than 64,000 square meters of exhibition space and a growth of more than 50% in terms of international surface area) as well as for its firm commitment to innovation.

In fact, there was an Innovation Center in which new technologies, startups, or avant-garde ideas were discussed. The opportunities offered by the new digital age condensed a good part of the presentations and talks.

Great attention went to the celebration of the KI awards dedicated to innovation in cuisine. A total of 18 innovations were selected, many of them aimed at work efficiency, energy efficiency, and water or space savers. Among the ingredients that caught the eye and gained recognition, for example, was a salt with 50% less sodium created with revolutionary processing technology.

The next edition of this event will take place May 19-22, 2018 in Chicago.
