The countdown to the most important artisan pastry competition, the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie, which will take place on 22 and 23 January within the framework of Sirha (Lyon), has begun. And 14 of the 22 teams which aspire to win the title will be training in prestigious pastry laboratories of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region:

A little less than two weeks before its celebration, we can already name the members of each team that will have to undergo demanding trials: three Valrhona Grand Cru chocolate entremets, three frozen fruit desserts from the Ravifruit range, 15 identical plated desserts, one artistic sugar piece, one artistic creation made of chocolate, and one artistic creation made of sculpted hydric ice.

It should be noted that seven of them (South Korea, the USA, France, Japan, the UK, Singapore, and Taiwan), those who have obtained the highest scores in the last three editions, will pass directly to the final. In addition, Indonesia, India, and Chile will premiere in the competition.
