On 9 September, the long-awaited third edition of the Prix d’Excellence Relais Desserts was held at the Pavillon Cambon in Paris.

The distinction of Best Pastry Chef went to Christophe Adam, well-known for creating the new pastry concept of l’Éclair de Genie, where we can find an endless collection of éclairs and chocolate sweets. A deserved recognition for this French teacher who, before embarking on his personal project, settled his base as a professional in places such as Crillon and Fauchon.

The award for “Best Hope Pastry” was awarded to Benoit Couvrand who, after ten years as a pastry chef at Fauchon, decided to fund La Pâtisserie Cyril Lignac alongside Cyril Lignac, a four-handed project that focuses on “primary” flavors ( vanilla, chocolate, caramel). While the title of “Best Pastry Blog” went to the site dedicated to Candy Cane and Gingerbread (https://www.sucredorgeetpaindepices.fr/) by Auriane Leblanc, the award for “Best Book of Pastry” went to the Grand Manuel du Pâtissier by Mélanie Dupuis and Anne Cazor (Editions Marabout).
