Laurent Jeannin passes away at age 49

Laurent Jeannin, the great pastry chef of the Hotel Bristol in Paris, has passed away on 7 July at the age of 49, after a long period in coma. He was one of the most charismatic figures of French pastry, having trained next to big names like Pierre Hermé and Christophe Felder, and having worked at hotels as emblematic as the Le Crillon or the George V. He was currently working side by side with the chef Eric Frechon, one of Paris’s three Michelin stars with the most personality. We still remember the extraordinary desserts he shared with us in the so good #16.

French and international gastronomy are in mourning for this great loss. We at the publisher also want to express our sadness and convey our condolences to his family and friends. Laurent Jeannin, rest in peace.
