Jean-Paul Hevin’s spectacular chocolate Kong surprise

The prestigious event of Salon du Chocolat in Paris has once again provided a spectacular stage for the presentation of great ideas and creations from the world of chocolate. Without doubt, one of the most talked about creations was designed by Jean-Paul Hévin in collaboration with the artist and sculptor Richard Orlinski. The subject for this incredible chocolate work was the mythical King Kong, standing at a height of almost four meters.

Although it is not the first time we have seen chocolate reproductions of the animal world, this piece generated a lasting impression not only from its aesthetics but also because of the logistical process necessary to move it into position at the fair. In parallel with the presentation of this great sculpture, Jean-Paul Hevin launched an online competition on the Salon website to challenge people to find replicas of the Kong chocolate piece. The reward was a bar of dark chocolate.
