The Japanese team lead by Takao Yamamoto and formed by Yoshiaki Miyake and Hiroshi Igarashi obtained the victory. Japan therefore demonstrated that it is a world pastry power. The podium on this championship (with infancy as its theme) was completed by the Italian team, formed by Diego Crosara, Davide Malizia, and Fabrizio Galla, and the American team, made up by Kaushik Chowdhury, Melynda Hale, and Keith Taylor.
