The young Californian Nathaniel Reid, pastry chef at the St .Regis Resort Monarch Beach in Dana Point, California, imposed himself in the final of the US Pastry Competition held in 2010. A beautiful work which combined techniques in artistic sugar and chocolate inspired in the winter Olympics worked to obtain the victory. Following Reid in second and third place respectively were Salvatore Settepani from Pasticcerie Bruno Bakery and Restaurant in New York City, and Andrew Chlebana from Joilet Lunior College in Joliet, Illinois.
